Aubie the Tiger

I recently got this tiger for Lela that sings a song to her (goodnight song) and actually says her name in the song. Aubie will be it's name since she will be an Auburn tiger one day. She is 12 wks old in this picture. She's becoming more verbal - cooing in longer strings. She consistently eats and sleeps all day long and is sleeping 8 hours at night. She is a good baby.

Pretty in Pink

We did a trial run for her professional pictures in her pretty pink gown that her Aunt Tammy made. She looked so pretty. I'll look forward to seeing how the professional pictures turned out.

We're having fun watching Lela smile at us and respond with her coos and kicks. She's now 9 weeks old.

Christmas (Lela) Carrell

We enjoyed time with Tom's family here in Atlanta for Christmas day. It was the first time we'd celebrated a holiday with Lela (and family). Everyone was so sweet to hold her - she was quite content. A friend from the office handmade this cute Christmas dress and headband for her.

Santa's Helper

We enjoyed a visit from Mom and Dad and my brother Gip yesterday. This was the first time my Dad and brother had seen her. She wore her Santa's hat to be festive for the season. Lela is now 6 weeks old and is putting on some weight. I could see her cheeks getting more chubby this week. She's doing better with nursing as well. I am now going to allow her to sleep longer at night which means more sleep for me. :)

Lele's Aunt Ellen gave her these cute hat and booties which she showed off yesterday when we went to visit Melanie.

I gave Lela her first real bath today. She seemed to enjoy it.

We enjoyed a visit from Tom's oldest nephew Ben as well as a visit from Tom's sister and family this week.

Visit from Brother and Sister in Law

We enjoyed a visit with Neil and Aubretia today who also graciously brought us lunch. It was fun to visit with them and introduce them to Lela.

Signs of Fall

I love this time of year with the leaves changing color and coolness in the air. We were able to take a few pictures outside in the nice weather.

Visit from Mom

It was great to have mom here for the week. She really did alot to help us - cleaning, laundry, buying food, etc. We are still working on the breastfeeding but after getting help from my sister in law and lactation consultant, i feel better about it. I'm also learning ways to help her sleep better at night.

Baby girl Lela

We are enjoying getting to know our sweet baby girl. She is doing well. I'm learning about breastfeeding and and hope to have a lactation consultant come out on Monday to help me. Also she has her nites/days confused - which make for long nites. But during the day she's content and sleeps soundly. We enjoy just watching her and admiring her. What a blessing! We've been thankful for help from Melanie and Tom's mom over the past few days. I'll look forward to having my mom here next week as well! Also girls from the office are bringing meals starting next week. I really appreciate everyone's willingness to help!
