Spring Time

We are enjoying the spring weather and beautiful parks!

Big Girl

We were in the process of moving L to her big girl bed and she decided to give it a try. She has done well thus far (of course enjoying the freedom to get out of bed now).

Visit from Mom

We enjoyed having Mom here for a few days. L. enjoyed having her read books to her and give her some attention. We enjoyed some time at the park and some shopping.

Valentine's Day

L and I came home after lunch to a balloon (she loves balloons) and a box of chocolate covered strawberries on Valentine's day. We were both excited. She loved the strawberries too! L loves to get on Daddy's shoulders so T. decided to have her sit on his shoulders while doing breakfast dishes.

Pigtails

I bought some small rubberbands today and told L what they were for and she was anxious for me to put them in her hair. She really seemed to like wearing pigtails. She kept looking at her reflection in different places.

January

We enjoyed a visit to Boone, NC to see T's nephew get married. L enjoyed seeing everyone and the snow. She also got a pooh bear from T's sister's family and she loves singing the pooh song. Pudding seems to be a favorite of L's now.

Christmas

We enjoyed time with my family in AL over the weekend. L had a good time unwrapping presents, being with her cousins and grand mother and grand daddy and riding the golf cart. She did much better traveling this time and chatted away in the back seat.

Visit with a Friend

We had a good time with our little friend M who came to stay with us a few hours today. He and L had a good time playing chase with each other. L is still not always sure about my sharing my time with him.

Christmas Cookies

I was supposed to do some Christmas cookie baking with a friend and her son, but they had to cancel so i decided to go ahead and try making some with L. She did better than I expected. She loved putting on the sprinkles and of course kept wanting to eat the dough while preparing them. I hope this will be a tradition we do every year.

Early Christmas

We had Tom's parents over for early Christmas. L. loves her remote control car the best! She now understand and enjoys opening presents!

Holiday Fun

We are enjoying the holidays with L. She loves the Christmas tree and lights and moving reindeer in people's yards. She recently figured out how to flip over her diaper stacker and had a great time emptying it into her bed. My friend Jenny was so kind to give L some pretty clothes for Christmas (dress and outfit and kitty cat outfit). We had a fun time at our neighborhood Christmas party. L. loved playing with the older children and cried when they had to leave.

New Ride

L. is going to love her new car she got for her birthday from my parents. Tom put it together today and we took her on a stroll in the neighborhood.

Helen, GA

We enjoyed a wkd to ourselves (eating out, dancing and shopping) while my inlaws kept L. This is the anniversary of when Tom and I met 6 years ago. We took a trip to Helen, GA (just north of us) to enjoy the beautiful weather and leaves.

Professional Pictures

I took L for some professional pictures today in the beautiful gown that my sister in law Tammy let me borrow. L. was not very happy having to get pictures made. (hence no smiles in these snap shots i took) Hopefully next year will be better. I was pleased with the pictures though and plan to use them for Christmas cards.
