Growing and In Motion

Almost 7 months old and he is learning to sit up. He's also been working on those first teeth and i'm just now feeling one that has broken through.

January happenings

L sometimes likes to get close to C and talk to him but she's been a victim of hair pulling so she knows to keep her distance

6 months

Today C is 6 months. He's alot of fun - likes to laugh and smile and enjoys watching his big sister and will many times smile at her and try to talk to her. I don't think it will be long before he will be crawling as he's been hitting milestones sooner than L. He's teething and drooling alot. We're so thankful for him.

We had a fun time this Christmas  - L was into so many things about Christmas this year. We enjoyed watching the children's program at church, a live nativity scene, Christmas lights through out neighborhoods, rides on the Christmas carousel, Christmas parties with our church, L. shopping for mom and dad's gifts (at the dollar store), making Christmas cookies and gingerbread house and visiting with family during the holiday season.  Tom's sister and bro in law also babysat the children for us so we could enjoy a night on the dance floor to see in the new year. Thankful for so many things in 2012 and looking forward to 2013.

L. enjoyed putting the candies on the house (didn't want my help but let me put on a few)  and discovered the icing tastes good toward the end of decorating.

Christmas preparation

L. is really excited about all the Christmas decorations this year. She wants to take the ornaments off the tree and play with them. She keeps saying "look at the Christmas tree and the lights!" C. is becoming more verbal and was responding to Lela's noises the other day by making his own. He's really trying to grab anything in his reach as well.  We're taking advantage of the warmer December weather by playing at the park.

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed time with my family in AL over Thanksgiving. L. enjoyed being there and seeing everyone. She also loved riding on the golf cart and playing with hot wheel cars at my parents house.

Happy 3rd Birthday

We enjoyed the birthday weekend for Lela. We started off with a birthday doughnut. Then my mom came in town on Friday and we had Tom's parents come over for the party on Saturday. She enjoyed the present opening and cake/ice cream. We're thankful for our sweet girl.
